Distilled

Responsibilities

The bane of our lives

For we all have them

πŸŒ‘

A weight they load

Too much

too often

πŸŒ‘

When distilled often

we are not the beneficiary

For others are

πŸŒ‘

We bear them for others

The question is

would they bear them

for us

  1. For me I think I bear them for both others and for myself, it doesn’t matter if they would reciprocate. These responsibilities done to the best of my ability are what gives my life meaning, so they are just as important for my well being.

I don’t think it’s about how you take on responsibility or how much, the simple act of having some responsibility makes us feel worth while and alive. The key is knowing what the right balance is so that you are not over burdened. I believe that to be the real struggle. FWIW πŸ™‚

  2. Most of them won’t and it could be worse. But then, we do what we have to do to take care of our responsibilities and even their responsibilities (if we can) without counting the gain or outcome. Nature has a way of reciprocating every good deed to others.

    1. I do agree. I used to not consider the balance and still don’t that much but I check whether anything is coming back. It doesn’t need to be even but there must, in my opinion anyway, be some give to the take. This is just my view though! 😊
