Lost

A wrong turn taken, dead end found

Decision, retrace steps

or wait

in the ghostly gloom

Foot steps heard

a distance away

but seemingly getting

closer

Silence

maybe misheard, mistaken

just paranoia setting in

Calm returns

🌑

Breathing slows

heartbeat softens

The panic has

retreated

🌑

Relief

🌑

Then

the Eyes

🌑

appear

🌑
