The Melancholic Cavern

The raging noise

rapid white water thrashing

rocks cascading down

The melancholic cavern roof

cannot be seen

πŸŒ‘

For the darkness is suffocating

πŸŒ‘

There is

an eerie feeling of being watched

an unseen presence felt

πŸŒ‘

For within the darkness two large eyes

observe

πŸŒ‘

The cavern dragon is here

No worries. You have Mysterious Poems so thought you were a good candidate for this award. I posted it on your Hermit poem. But I don’t know if people see all their comments. No need to partake if it’s not your thing. But there if you want it. πŸ™‚

Please there is nothing to apologise for. I’ve found my trail and I’m just working my way along it to see where it leads to.

I hope you find the right trail for you soon 😊

Again Stuart, you express places where I have been. Even with the Lord in my life, I’ve had to allow Him to take to these very deep dark places. Sexual abuse by a parent so very young leaves such deep unrealized scares amongst other abuses….
This brought me to tears, I can so relate to this piece.
Lord bless you…..He is the Light to bring us to the end of that very dark tunnel!
You’ve inspired me to express what I’ve experienced in my life, and how the Lord brought me through. Sorry for this being so long…
    In His Love…

Love this. I am no stranger to the darkness. In my experience it can be suffocating, or have treasures within it. Those two eyes got to me a bit though πŸ˜€

I know. And I want to thank you for pulling me out of a hole yesterday. Your kind good humour made me laugh again, and saw me through. Thankyou. 😊
