Tears

As dew drips off a leaf

the tears trickle down her face

A gentle flowing stream

becomes a waterfall of emotion

πŸŒ‘

As the sun rises in the morn

a smile blossoms on her face

The new dawn becomes

the glorious midday sun

πŸŒ‘

For these were tears of joy

Just gorgeous, Stuart. I love the ending which is what makes it so special. So often we assume tears of emotion are for sadness, and often women are written in the third person in a way that makes them seem broken or wanting. This poem turns the stereotypes around completely. Love. πŸŒ…πŸ’§πŸ§‘πŸ”†
