The King

A Briton King of old

his name long lost in time

Songs were sung in his honour

generations after he died

πŸŒ‘

The King lived and ruled

in Cumbria as now known

He was a generous and fair

Lord of the Hill Throne

πŸŒ‘

A warrior of renown

fearless and strong

with his oak shield

he charged headlong

πŸŒ‘

Enemies were vanquished

his land was one of peace

Whilst he ruled

tranquility would never cease

πŸŒ‘

His name long forgotten

his deeds unknown

He is the King whose loss

we should bemoan
