The Black Cat of the Hilltop
observes and stares
Green eyes scrutinise
deep into our mind’s
affairs
🌑
Into our soul
the Black Cat peers
Nothing is hidden
she sees our hopes, dreams
and fears
Just a few rambling pieces of poetry
The Black Cat of the Hilltop
observes and stares
Green eyes scrutinise
deep into our mind’s
affairs
🌑
Into our soul
the Black Cat peers
Nothing is hidden
she sees our hopes, dreams
and fears
I have a Black Cat of the Hilltop in my head, she knows everything.

Other worldly creatures – I would love a cat but we have dogs and not the sort that would get on well with cats – oil and water I’m afraid…hey that is a really good name for a cat/dog combo.

I love that, oil and water would be such good names for the combo, much better and apt than ying and yang……😊

Sounds like our Treacle, she has that soul penetrating look down to a fine art. Black cats are truly magical like that

We have a black cat and live on a hilltop. This and her stare was the inspiration for the poem.
I agree there is something special about black cats. 😊
