The Work Commute

I look fondly back

to the work commute

the challenge to find a train seat

if a total fail

stand on my weary feet

If a seat is found

the dozer is the next joy

leaning further further over

the gentle pushback I deploy

As I look up

someone is blankly staring at me

give a wink

see their tired eyes flee

If brave enough, the final challenge

escape the carriage

fighting through limbs and bags

overcoming the commuter barrage

The work commute

once a daily chore

now a distant memory

lost in lore
