The Dead of Night

It’s the dead of night

amongst the gloom

someone is awake

hiding behind the broom

Listening carefully

you hear

zoom zoom

🌑

Do you dare creep downstairs

to take a peep

Your mind is racing

ready to leap

🌑

With your dressing gown

and trusty slipper

you head into the fro

to confront the nipper

🌑

Opening the door

you look around

All you can see

is something

on the ground

🌑

Holding the slipper high

you bravely push on

As a little voice shouts

Oi

you’ve got no pants on
